Hello. One of the pictures is what the first row of the skein looks like. The second picture is what the first two rows look like. So far the pattern is pretty easy. The only problem I am having is working with a bigger hook.

one skien wrap

Hello, I am going to work on a one skien wrap. This will be my first wrap. The following websites is where I got the free pattern. You can print the pattern off to make it easier to follow. i am going to use the N-15(10mm) hook because I have one. I did not know someone had picked up a pack of crochet hooks along with three one pound skeins of yarn. When I took the yarn out I found these big plastic crochet hooks. At first I was like how often will I use these and what can I use them on. The plastic hooks I have are Red Heart Crystalites in the following sizes: L-11(8.0mm), M-13(9.0mm), N-15(10.0mm), and P-16(11.5mm).
I will post pictures on the progress of the wrap and of course I will post a final picture of what the wrap looks like.

twelve petal flower

Hi everyone,

I made a twelve petal flower. I used five different colors for the rounds. The green and the white were two pieces of scrap yarn I had and it was enough to get three rounds done. I used black for the fourth round. Varigated blue for the fifth round, and gold for the hanger. I knew I was going to use the green(sage) and white but for the other three colors I had no idea. For the other three colors I just grabbed the first color my hand came to.

materials:

yarn color or colors of your choice

crochet hook f5(3.5mm)

tapestry needle

notes: round 5 is worked in back loops only. If you use more than one color on the last stich pull yarn through the sc then wrap next color on hook and pull through two loops.

rd1: ch 2, six sc in first chain, sl last sc to first sc(6)

rd2: 2sc in each sc, sl st to first sc (12)

rd 3: 2 sc in first sc, then 1 sc in next sc. *2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next sc* repeat 2sc, 1sc 5 times. sl st to first sc

rd4: 2 sc in first sc, then 1 sc in next 2 sc. *2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next 2sc* repeat *from* 5 times. sl st to first sc. sl st to first sc in the back loop

rd5 is all worked in the back loops only. ch4 1 sc in next 3chs skip one sc sl st in next back loop. *ch 4 1 sc in next 3chs skip one sc sl st in next back loop* repeat *from* 10 times.

hanger sl st in a back stitch of any petal of your choice, ch 15 sl st in a back stitch on the petal next to the one you are working on

first basket weave square

Hi everyone,
I made my first basket weave square today. It did take time to do. I used Red Heart super saver 100% acrylic light sage color and steel hook size o. I added a border around the edge to make the block square. Here is a link to learn how to do the basket weave which is sometimes called the waffle stitch.
I am thinking about making either a throw or an afghan out of the basket weave squares, which I will use a bigger size crochet hook.

I followed the video to learn how to do the basket weave and i finihsed the square with siz rows and then doing the edging.

purple rose

Good evening everyone.

I made this purple rose a couple of days ago. Sorry it took a while for me to make this post and to put the picture on.

I used Caron Iris yarn and hook F5(3.75mm) . The rose was pretty easy to make, took me fifteen minutes. I am not excatly sure how the pattern goes because I did not write it down when I finished. I will work on writing up a pattern either by guessing or making another flower. If I come up with another flower I will post it.
