Hello. One of the pictures is what the first row of the skein looks like. The second picture is what the first two rows look like. So far the pattern is pretty easy. The only problem I am having is working with a bigger hook.

Hello, I am going to work on a one skien wrap. This will be my first wrap. The following websites is where I got the free pattern. You can print the pattern off to make it easier to follow. i am going to use the N-15(10mm) hook because I have one. I did not know someone had picked up a pack of crochet hooks along with three one pound skeins of yarn. When I took the yarn out I found these big plastic crochet hooks. At first I was like how often will I use these and what can I use them on. The plastic hooks I have are Red Heart Crystalites in the following sizes: L-11(8.0mm), M-13(9.0mm), N-15(10.0mm), and P-16(11.5mm).
I will post pictures on the progress of the wrap and of course I will post a final picture of what the wrap looks like.

twelve petal flower

Hi everyone,

I made a twelve petal flower. I used five different colors for the rounds. The green and the white were two pieces of scrap yarn I had and it was enough to get three rounds done. I used black for the fourth round. Varigated blue for the fifth round, and gold for the hanger. I knew I was going to use the green(sage) and white but for the other three colors I had no idea. For the other three colors I just grabbed the first color my hand came to.

crochet hook f5(3.5mm)

tapestry needle

notes: round 5 is worked in back loops only. If you use more than one color on the last stich pull yarn through the sc then wrap next color on hook and pull through two loops.

rd1: ch 2, six sc in first chain, sl last sc to first sc(6)

rd2: 2sc in each sc, sl st to first sc (12)

rd 3: 2 sc in first sc, then 1 sc in next sc. *2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next sc* repeat 2sc, 1sc 5 times. sl st to first sc

rd4: 2 sc in first sc, then 1 sc in next 2 sc. *2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next 2sc* repeat *from* 5 times. sl st to first sc. sl st to first sc in the back loop

rd5 is all worked in the back loops only. ch4 1 sc in next 3chs skip one sc sl st in next back loop. *ch 4 1 sc in next 3chs skip one sc sl st in next back loop* repeat *from* 10 times.

hanger sl st in a back stitch of any petal of your choice, ch 15 sl st in a back stitch on the petal next to the one you are working on

first basket weave square

Hi everyone,
I made my first basket weave square today. It did take time to do. I used Red Heart super saver 100% acrylic light sage color and steel hook size o. I added a border around the edge to make the block square. Here is a link to learn how to do the basket weave which is sometimes called the waffle stitch.
I am thinking about making either a throw or an afghan out of the basket weave squares, which I will use a bigger size crochet hook.

I followed the video to learn how to do the basket weave and i finihsed the square with siz rows and then doing the edging.

purple rose

Good evening everyone.

I made this purple rose a couple of days ago. Sorry it took a while for me to make this post and to put the picture on.

I used Caron Iris yarn and hook F5(3.75mm) . The rose was pretty easy to make, took me fifteen minutes. I am not excatly sure how the pattern goes because I did not write it down when I finished. I will work on writing up a pattern either by guessing or making another flower. If I come up with another flower I will post it.

I made this rose flower tonight while watching tv. It took me fifteen minutes to make from start to finish. The flower can be used as a keyring, embellishement, necklace or bracelet.

This is another crochet project I came up with the pattern.

Hello everyone,

I just made a crochet sailboat without using a pattern. I designed the sailboat myself. I honestly did not know how the sailboat would turn out. The sailboat was easy to make only took me two and a half hours. The boat and the flag pole are stuffed. The flag is single crochet and single crochet decreases.

Late last night I drew a picture of a sailboat and thought about how I could crochet a sailboat.

first amigurumi butterfly

Hi everyone,

I finished my first amigurumi butterfly today. It took me altogther 10 hours to get the butterfly done.

The hardest part of the butterfly was stuffing the legs and the arms. I ended up using the crochet hook's blunt end to push the stuffing into the legs and arms. The wings are bigger than they are suppose to. I miss read the pattern and add two extra rows to each wing.

I finallly finshed everything on the lady bug. I did use some different materials than what the pattern called for. I used buttons with holes to make the eyes, and used pipe cleaner for the antennas. Sometimes you do not have the right materials but you have something similar at home that you can use.

two colored flower

I used the flower pattern from yesterday using two colors. I did change one thing from the originial pattern, I crocheted in the back loops of the single crochets when doing round 2-3. The first pictures show the top of the flower so you can see the two colors. The second picture is a side view of what the petals look like on the flower.

flower keychain

Hi everyone,

I just made this flower and put it on a keychain. Earlier today while I was taking a nap I saw this image in my head. When I got up from my nap, I drew the image I saw and then I started to make the pattern. You can use this flower as a keychain or as an ambellishment.

Amigurumi butterfly

I am working on another amigurumi project which is a butterfly. This amigurumi project is intermediate, which is a little bit harder to make and takes a little bit more time.
I thought I had finished everything on the ladybug but I forgot the antennas and the mouth. This was my oversight. My mom mentioned to me that the ladybug was missing the antennas and mouth.

Helpful tips

Hi everyone,
Here is a helpful tip, I found this was helpful one day. I use the toilet paper rolls(cardboard part) to wrap my loose yarn on to keep it from tangling and organized. I put a hole in the roll, pull one end of the yarn through about four inches and then wrap the rest of the yarn around.
For storing my crochet hooks, siccors, and needles, I use a small zipped canvas bag. The canvas bag fits nicely in my crochet bag and keep everything I need in one spot.

ladybug crochet

Yeah!! I finished the crochet ladybug. It did take a lot of time to make the ladybug. For the finishing touches the pattern said to use stuffing, which I did not have any. I used a plastic grocery bag to stuff the head, body, and legs.

Hi everyone,
I have finished the base, head, and four out of six legs for the ladybug. All I have left to crochet are the last two legs and the six spots. The ladybug I am making is three colors red, white, and purple because I am using up some of the loose yarn from previous projects. I am hoping to finish the rest of the ladybug tonight if not it will be finished in the morning. I will try later posting a picture of the pieces of the ladybug I have already crocheted. working on Amigurumi ladybug

I am currently working on an Amigurumi ladybug. So far I have not had any problems making the rounds. In an hour and twenty minutes I finished nine out sixteen rounds on the body. It does take a while to do because you have to make the parts seperatly and then attach them together. As soon as I finish the whole project I will put up a picture. I am not sure how long it will take to make the lady bug. Time to get back to crochet have a lovely and beautiful day.

these angels are easy to make for a beginner. It took me an hour to do the white angel, even though I had to rip out and redo some of the rows. The second one which is purple took me about 40 minutes to do. I am going to do an angel in variated blue to see how it turns out. These angels can be hung the Christmas tree, door knobs, or hooks. I got the pattern from www.favecrafts.com when I signed up from and ebook.
